* up to four slits, configurable in conf file; programs go to one by default, right click to move to others (partially discussed already)

* also can set a program to be in all (or any number of) slits

  - add 'slit #' option to the flux dock apps that tells neoflux where to put them?

* reload slitlist option on right click (rereads the current file)

* middle click (also super+right click) brings up workspace menu (as fluxbox) but includes groupings with each window in a sub menu

* use super + shift, control, and alt instead of emacs style? or ctrl + super is the equivalent of ctrl-x in emacs?

* must have proper utf-8 and -16 support

* be able to set up key strokes that pass other key strokes through to the focused program (for example, super+shift+arrow sends ctrl+[ (or whatever 'next tab' is in FF))

* snap to window or edge needs to be configurable, also needs to have an optional gap (like always keeps a 5px gap, even after snapping)

* menu for right click on titlebar includes 'center window' (vertical, horizontal, and both) AND can it also account for true center or center for only the space not used by the docks --- that is, with a dock on one side, the window could be (if desired) centered in the actual free space. it would end up a little off of true center, but have equal gaps showing background on both sides.

* include hidden desktops that you can only get to with keyboard shortcuts; they do not show up in pager or next / previous buttons or shortcuts (partially discussed already)

* can we do per-desktop backgrounds?

* possible to have 'sticky' windows that automatically group on every window?

  - sticky windows (appear on all desktops) is already a thing; should be doable

  - but, having that window automatically group with a specific group?

+ how do we reference groups of windows on desktops? 1a 1b? 1.1, 1.2? by window type and name (the WM_XXX tags)?

* need to have mouse / gui elements for changing workspaces, for the situation where the keyboard may not be entirely trustworthy (so, just have left and right arrows in the tray and right click menu like fluxbox to jump straight to any window)

* if we include emacs-like keyboard shortcuts, make super-x the main start key stroke --- it basically says 'the next keystroke is for the window manager'. after super-x, any single number or letter (or symbol) is allowed OR another super plus number or letter (or symbol). g and super-g are the 'nevermind' / cancel keys. OFC this is in addition to the non-chord regular super plus [some key] WM shortcuts.

  - add super-u prefix before super-x (or after?) for a similar but slightly different command? (similar to its use in emacs)

* neoflux slit should understand dockapp options for both which slit to go to as well as where in the slit to go (so, placement options that override the default slitlist ONLY for that session)

* also, of course different slits should allow for different sizes (allow for defaults in the config (like top and bottom 64 or 96 and sides 128, overridable, of course)

* needs to have a "picture in picture" sort of mode for keeping something on top without it taking focus away from another window

* left and right clicking on program icon in titlebar brings up different menu than right clicking in the title bar does. (otherwise left clicking outside of the icon moves or focuses the window (but what should the menus do?)

* can we force window decorations on modern gtk apps that don't have them?

* behaviour of left clicking the title bar of an UNfocused grouped window is configurable --- it can focus the full window and then focus the clicked tab OR it can focus the full window but not focus the clicked tab, leaving the previously focused tab showing (fluxbox does not do this --- it automatically focuses the tab that was clicked. this is annoying when other tabs are covered by the currently active window (or any other window, for that matter)

* should have clear, well-document understanding AND use of xdefaults, xprofile, xinit etc and option to LOG issues and errors.

  - if something is better set in one of those, do we not have the option, or override with our settings? which way would be more widely supported across unrelated software (emacs, kde apps, etc)
